About The Author

Nick Baker was born in Hull, East Yorkshire, England, on the first of April 1969.

He has been teaching ‘English as a Foreign Language’ since 1994 and living in Serres, Northern Greece, since 1997, where he has somehow acquired a wife, two children, and a Maltese terrier.

Nick has been posting his poetry online since 2009, mostly on the specialised site allpoetry.com.  After experimenting with sonnets, villanelles and other rhyming forms, he turned with success to longer rhyming tales of a humorous nature.

As a poet, he has been influenced by Lewis Carroll, Edward Lear, Spike Milligan and Marriott Edgar, among others… but some of his enthusiastic readers say he could be a new Dr Seuss.
